Last years DTWC saw “Chubzilla” Chub Frank of Bear Lake, PA take home the $50,000 first place check in the Late Model portion and for the second year in a row “The Badlands Bandit” Rick Aukland of Zanesville, OH win the Modified event. Be there when the dust clears and see who takes the checkers in the 2008 Dirt Track World Championship!
Act now for big savings on ticket prices. By purchasing your tickets in advance you can save $10 off. Advance pricing will be $40 for adult and you can upgrade that to a reserved set for just $5 more. Advanced pit passes will be $50 and if you want to add a reserved seat to that just add $5. Remember after Oct 1st the prices will be $50 for adult general admission, $15 children general admission ages 6-11 with children under age six admitted free for general admission. Three-day pit passes will be $60.

The top five rows of all spectator grandstands will reserve seating. A seating chart is available on the KC Raceway website www.kc-raceway.com and race fans may pick their preferred seats on a first-come, first-served basis.
The 28th Annual Dirt Track World Championship presented by gottarace.com kicks off on Thursday evening October 16th with Qualifying, heat races and consolation races to set the starting grid for the Modifieds. Qualifying and heat races will be held on Friday evening October 17th with the consolation races, The Jim Dunn Memorial non-qualifiers race, The Modified 30 Lap Feature and the 100-lap Dirt Track World Championship to be held on Saturday evening October 18th. Sunday October 19th will serve as the rain date.
Late Model entry fees will be $100 if pre-entered by October 1st, 2008. After October 1st the driver entry fee will be $200. Modifieds will be $50 in advance and $100 after Oct 1st.

27th Annual Dirt Track World Championship Details Announced

Chillicothe, OH --- Even though it’s a few months away race fans are anxious and excited about the 27th Annual Dirt Track World Championship (DTWC) and for those who had reserved seating last year have until July 1, 2007 to renew those same seats for this year’s edition of one of dirt Late Model racing’s true crown jewel events that will be held on October 18-20, 2007 at Jim Nier’s KC Raceway in Waverly, OH. General admission and pit passes are also being made available to the public at last year’s prices. The DTWC will pay the winner $50,000.

“It was only fair to last year’s fans who reserved seats to give them the first chance at renewing them,” commented DTWC founder & promoter Carl Short. “After the deadline is up the remaining reserved seats are available to anyone who would like to have them. It’s apparent that the success we had from last October has translated into a renewed interest and excitement for the race.”

“And as far as admission prices for the grandstands, pits and the entry fees, despite the cost of everything rising for everyone we have decided to hold the prices in line and only charge what we did last year. The only things being raised in price are the purses for the dirt Late Models and the Modifieds. We’re going to increase the purses in both of those classes this year.”

Short also indicated that there will be plenty of news to be released about this year’s edition of the 27th Annual Dirt Track World Championship. “We’re already preparing and working on some special promotions for the race that will benefit the teams and especially the fans,” revealed Short. “Over the coming weeks and months our staff will be announcing some special promotions aligned with the race.”

In addition to the full Dirt Track World Championship dirt Late Model program the 3rd Annual Jim Dunn Memorial for non-qualifiers will be held in addition to a full program for Modifieds.

Advance sale tickets, especially reserved seating, go swiftly and race fans are encouraged to order early. Presale prices for individual tickets are $40 for adult general admission, $10 for children general admission ages 6-11 with children under age six admitted free for general admission. The deadline for ordering pre-sale tickets is October 1, 2007. A pre-sale three-day pit pass will be offered for $50.

After the October 1 pre-sale deadline expires tickets prices will be $50 for adult general admission, $15 children general admission ages 6-11 with children under age six admitted free for general admission. Three-day pit passes will be $60.

Special reserved seating is also being made available for the 27th Annual Dirt Track World Championship. The top five rows of the grandstands, including the main grandstands and the new grandstands in turn four, will be mandated reserved seating. Pre-sale tickets for reserved seating are $45 per ticket. After October 1 reserved seating will be $55. Reserved seating ticket prices for children age 11 and under will be $15 per ticket pre-sale and $20 per ticket after October 1. A seating chart is available on the KC Raceway website (www.kc-raceway.com) and race fans may pick their preferred seats on a first-come, first-served basis after July 1 when the deadline is reached for those who wish to reclaim their reserved seats from last year.

Qualifying and heat races will be held on Friday evening October 19 with the consolation race, a non-qualifiers race and the 100-lap Dirt Track World Championship to be held on Saturday evening October 20. Sunday October 21 will serve as the rain date.
